In Sweden, heading to ALT School of Theology in Örebro for a two-day conference on “future challenges in Pauline studies.” I’m doing a paper proposing a conversation between the ‘Paul within Judaism’ and ‘apocalyptic Paul’ perspectives. So I expect to come home having pleased nobody.

Cooking dinner while enjoying Grant Macaskill’s annual Scottish Episcopal Institute Lecture. “Disabling Norms and Acentering Churches: Autism, Long Covid, and the Return of the Old Normal.” I never cease to be amazed at his scholarly range.

I’m running two graduate seminars this term. Our research seminar is reading Amy Peeler’s “Women and the Gender of God” and our theological education reading group is working through Ted Smith’s “The End of Theological Education.” It’s gonna be a good term.
