Did you know that North Carolina is the nation's second largest producer of Christmas trees? Nearly all of those are grown right here in the western part of our state. Buying a locally grown tree is a great way to support small farms and local agriculture! 🎄

I had a great day in Yancey County with a legend Johnny Deyton who took me to visit small businesses and farms, to tour some damage of the Cane River from Hurricane Helene, and had some fellowship with a lively crew at lunch.

I'm grateful to have the support of Clyde Mayor Jim Trantham!

Mayor Trantham has led Clyde through some tough times. He knows all too well how important it is that we have representatives who will stick up for Western NC.

It was my honor to visit with the folks over at Haywood Christian Ministry to learn more about the great work they're doing to support our neighbors in need!

Veterans Day reminds us of the sacrifices made to protect our freedoms. I'm proud of my family's deep history of service, including my brothers — Kevin, a Specialist in the US Army, and Eric, a Commander in the US Navy. Today, we honor them and all who have served our country.

What a great evening out in Leicester with my friend Terri Wells and my brother Eric talking about farm and food policy! I'm always grateful for the opportunity to talk about how our food system impacts every aspect of our lives and how we can make it work better. #NC11 #WNC #WesternNC

Thank you to everyone who came out to our campaign event in Madison County at the Old Marshall Jail last week. 200+ folks, all fired up to elect a voice for the people of Western NC!

Special thanks to my friends Josh Copus for hosting us and Graham Sharp for bringing the fun. #NC11 #WNC

I couldn't tell you what kind of sense it makes sending about $40 Billion in aid to Argentina when we could easily spend that money here at home repairing damage from Hurricane Helene. But I can tell you that when I'm in DC, I'll put Western NC first every time.

During Helene, the water level here at Ashworth Creek was over my head.

Now, over a year later, time has passed but the scars and debris remain — and work needs to be done.

But Republicans in Washington are more focused on building ballrooms than building bridges here in WNC.

I'm honored to have the support of Sylva Mayor Johnny Phillips!

Mayor Phillips is a strong advocate for not only Sylva, but Jackson County and our region as a whole. He knows that we're building a campaign that folks from every corner of Western NC can get behind. #NC11 #WNC

Great day with a group of local farmers discussing agriculture issues, getting to know each other and hearing different perspectives.

We may not raise the same crops or livestock, but we are all facing challenges. What we can do is come together and work toward a better future!

Amy and I enjoyed visiting with our friends at Darnell Farms in Bryson City last weekend while on the campaign trail.

We hope you'll get out there and support small businesses this fall — including local farms!⁩

Just a year ago, Hurricane Helene came through Western North Carolina. It was a rough day. Flood waters rose. Crucial services down. Homes and businesses washed away. Many lives were lost.

I'm honored to have the endorsement of Canton Mayor Zeb Smathers!

Zeb is not only a strong voice for Canton, but a champion for all of Western NC. I'm proud to have his support.

If y'all could only see the face I made when my team told me we hit $150k raised in just four days! We’re really building a campaign that folks are excited to get behind, and I couldn't be more grateful for your support and your trust. #wnc #ncpol #nc11

I've been a farmer all my life, working our fourth generation family farm in Fairview, North Carolina. Farming is a tough job with real consequences and it teaches you to be accountable to the land, to the animals, and to the people.

My name is Jamie Ager. I'm a father, husband, farmer, and proud son of Western NC. And I figured, if I'm gonna run for Congress, I should introduce myself and tell you why I'm running.
