Thanks for your honest comments at the top of the podcast comparing previous spring training experiences to today’s given the current geo-political uncertainties between Canada and the US.

Ned Flanders as Jays’ GM. Sadly the cartoon character has far more authenticity than our current GM and front office. Post-pricey-stadium renos, it’s hard to imagine more asses in the seats in 25 and onward. We will be visiting from NS but much else to do in TO..,

We could split hairs on IKF, add Kiermayer to the mix, it adds up to two years of spending, that if the owner, would make me quite irked.

Did they not spend $12M on IKF and Vogelbach last year..? That was a blunder too…Still, this lowers my respect even further for the admin and is « fire able «  as you outlined on the podcast…

Sadly agree. Why would one sign here. He likely would need much, much more to sign with us btw. But this means Vlad is gone IMHO.

I seem to recall Bassitt saying late July that he wouldn’t mind being traded - or words to that effect and perhaps more nuanced- in a post game interview…

So you are saying that upper management is not detracting FAs from signing with us? I know you are critical of them. If Romano I would be thrilled to have released and picked up by a contender but can’t know for sure. It’s hard supporting this team.

I hope you are correct.

I have been wondering why FAs would come to TO given the front office. Midseason, Blair &Barker replied that FAs follow the money. FAs want to go to a winner, they want a pennant . Bassitt basically asked to be traded in July. O’Neil signing with the Os, Romano to the Phillies tell the sad tale.
