What a find!
Uh... a very ornate roccoco vase featuring a goose and a woman (or maybe Leda and a swan?) under an ornately flowering flower painted pinkish and tealish on a bed of like leaves that are purple and gold. The woman sits next to a little bucket spilling something out of it.

I just got my first royalty check for AMERICAN ANIMISM. It's the first time in my 37 years of writing that I've made any money from my writing (modest as it is). DEEPLY grateful, but still need to hustle to reach my goal. Maybe buy one?

It's making me oddly emotional that someone I don't know took the time to read and write a review of AMERICAN ANIMISM. So incredibly grateful. I know that's the whole idea of this, but, man, it's something.
Review of AMERICAN ANIMISM: I enjoyed these thought-provoking stories very much. The characters were so vividly written that each one, although all different, seemed very real to me. I'm looking forward to his next collection.

This is a solid, well-crafted thriller set in Nashville in 1989. Songwriters, murder, revenge, sexuality: it’s got a lot going on, and it does it all well. Recommended reading for good regional crime fiction.

I really enjoyed THE WATERMAN, a short story collection by Gary Schanbacher. Published by Cornerstone Press. Read it for some solid placed-based realism.

It is/will be a big week for pubs for me I just got my contributor copies of Brilliant Corners, which features my jazz story set in Baltimore.
