I read lots of books. Fantasy > Romance > Horror. He/him.
Also code Python and would like to code Rust and regret coding MATLAB
So basically... Could I justifiably add Disco Elysium to my Goodreads?

(the elephants did show up one day and there was much rejoicing)

It's done by wrapping it in another wrapper. Once written I have to spend 10 minutes squinting at the code to convince myself I did it right before moving on.

Great question I think. They are "syntactic sugar" for wrapping a function with another function, thus modifying the target function's behaviour. When I write them my mind sort of folds itself in half when working out how to accept parameters to one though. Very distressing.

I've been thinking about it and realised that if someone is "being cheeky" they're basically being an asshole but in a likeable, maybe even endearing, way. And to go for a "cheeky nandos" is to be cheeky by going to nandos. But you start with the action and extrapolate back to the vibe.

Agreed! I never understand this. People say "out of sight, out of mind" but I don't want that! I'll forget about it :(

100%. I actually prefer to listen to audio books of non-fiction because it forces me to consume it slower, as I'm normally a fast visual reader, and technical books often need a slower pace, but it's absolutely all reading!

At the moment I have "Red Rising" there because... It takes place at a school right? And there's betrayal and school politics and a fish-out-of-water protagonist and lots of death and edge right? That should count??

Pretty much, and romantasy is really just "fantasy romance" but typically is only used to refer to stuff like ACOTAR, whereas witchy romances and urban fantasy romances technically fall under the same umbrella, but are often thought as being in different genres
