Tonight at the Super Bowl, Coco Jones performs “Lift Every Voice and Sing” for America and the world.

Written in 1900 by James Weldon Johnson with music by his brother J. Rosamond Johnson, the hymn has endured for over 125 years.

As we begin 2026, the James Weldon Johnson Foundation marks two milestones:
100 years of the House and Writing Cabin at Five Acres, and 10 years since receiving 501(c)(3) status.
