I suspect it will last a good while longer purely because a new generation has discovered it and will carry the torch for it. It also helps that aesthetically it doesn’t feel too jarring from modern life. The clothes, the decor etc don’t feel too removed from what people experience now.

TBH I was a bit sketchy on that point. I imagined that without a registered company in Brazil it would more difficult to ad deals with any major companies but I could well be wrong (and why I stuck a ‘presumably’ in there as a get out of jail card)

Presumably it will stop X being able to monetize in Brazil but also make it harder to enforce any legal rulings and force the Brazilian authorities to decide whether they want to block X. I imagine that carries political risks though.
