All those companies that waxed his carrot with promises of hundreds of billions of new investment in 2025 made him optimistic. Oil cos have done pretty well without Venezuela so why would they risk it - especially with Trump in the picture.

For me it's the moments of decision when one of the ICE people could have chosen common decency but chose villainy instead. So no compassion for their psychic scars (if any).
