Not only did she lose income, she also has mounting medical bills, which are becoming overwhelming for her. This fundraising will immensely help Kaitlyn and her two wonderful boys cover living expenses, allowing Kaitlyn to focus on healing and getting her and her boys back to normal life. 5/6

Thankfully, my wife stayed by her side in the hospital while my sister-in-law was able to care for the boys at home. Kaitlyn has been employed at the hospice company for four years, but unfortunately, and infuriatingly (my words not hers), they don’t offer paid time off OR benefits. 4/6

She went through a tough ordeal as surgeons removed almost 1 liter of blood from her abdomen and managed to stop the bleeding just in time and narrowly avoiding the need for a transfusion. While the rest of the world celebrated New Years, Kaitlyn spent it in the hospital away from her boys. 3/6

At the end of December 2024, she was rushed to the ER with severe abdominal pain and rapidly dropping blood levels. Tests revealed she had Hemoperitoneum due to a ruptured ovarian cyst that required immediate surgery. 2/6
