I’ve had this bass for 19 years, toured the country and recorded with it. Trashed it a whole bunch. It’s just come out of the shop after a serious clean and repair job and it’s sounding and playing better than ever. Love my old Yamaha.

Brought this home today. The first time I played a Stingray was 2001 in my since passed uncle’s guitar shop in Coogee. It was an ocean blue 4 string with the most beautiful feeling maple neck. The look and feel of that bass stuck with me for the last 24 years. A dream to bring this thing home.

Brought this home today. The first time I played a Stingray was 2001 in my since passed uncle’s guitar shop in Coogee. It was an ocean blue 4 string with the most beautiful feeling maple neck. The look and feel of that bass stuck with me for the last 24 years. A dream to bring this thing home.
Lucky last. Poor fretboard on this has needed some oil for ages, probably since I got it. Eugene is assisting.

After a brief intermission to get a better soldering iron, the rear pickup cover is off. Although the strings I had for this guitar had rusted so it’ll have to wait a few days to get restrung. Looks great though.

Fretboard cleaned and oiled. I love an Ebony fretboard. Such a nice wood. Pickup cover coming off now.

Next. This one is newer and has a polished fretboard so it’s just a quick polish and string change.
