This "decline" is not economic but solely part of the culture war that the GOP are waging. Decline will be reversed only when abortion is banned, same-sex marriage is criminalized, anything approaching universal healthcare is blocked, and the rich's pockets are filled to the brim.

It's just a shame that so many sincere people (however much we disagree with their sincerely-held beliefs) have to lose their money to realise how much of a conman he is.
