Swiss darning is a technique if you want the repair to match the structure of the knit, it’s a little fiddly but there’s some great you tube tutorials, and you just need yarn, scissors, a large blunt sewing needle and something to stretch the sweater over - sometimes cans are good. Good luck 😊

It’s patched, interfaced on the inside and then there’s a lining patch over the top - I took the photo before I ironed it, it looks very flat now 😂

Oh I feel you! It’s such a struggle - although I do enjoy getting up early sitting with a cup of tea and saying “I’d better darn them trousers before the light goes” like I’m a character in a play 😂

This is my strategy now, as soon as the ends are woven in on the first, cast on the second

It’s where you knit a sock and then find it really hard to start (or indeed never make) the second sock
