Death Stranding 2 is the most realistic game I think I’ve seen this gen. I genuinely thought the intro was stock footage of a desert until I saw the little blue and black strands over it and realised it was in engine.

However, Norman’s face looks decidedly low res and I’m not really sure why.

People are falling over themselves to claim the Switch 2 is failing somehow when it’s solid millions of units already and there’s barely anything out for it.

Just want to note that almost every single podcaster this past week were talking about a minority government as inevitable.

There wasn’t a bigger champion of Australian democracy than Antony Greene. He lived it, loved it and dedicated his life to it. Our country is better because of him.

James McGrath is embarrassing himself in so many ways that it’s actually pretty pathetic. He looks pathetic.

The ABC servers have completely died, there hasn’t been any new data for about 30 mins. This is pretty fucking bad.
May 3, 2025 at 10:07 AM
McGrath is losing his fucking mind on ABC and its hilarious.

It’s almost like no one wants this right wing culture war bullshit in Australia.

Expedition 33 was breathtaking from start to finish and the ending was such a perfect end to what was such a tragic and beautiful story. Incredible work from the team. @expedition33.bsky.social

One of the things I hate hearing about this brilliant title, is that "oh its Ubisoft that stopped these amazing people doing their work".

Ubisoft is not perfect, but its where many if not all of these developers sharped their craft, learned from colleagues, got training and met each other.
And here we are.
Three days after launch.
One million copies sold.
And, as we type this, over 100,000 of you are currently playing on Steam.

Thank you for believing in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. This has been surreal.

If the last month of gaming has taught me anything: Expedition 33 is a fucking masterpiece and somehow better than the previous masterpiece, Metaphor. We are in a JRPG golden age.

Also, dipshit gamers who genuinely thought that no one would buy a Switch 2 was as predictable as the outcome.

On Twitter, Musk’s AI Grok can reply to tweets when mentioned, so people have been asking it questions about Republican and Democratic performance. Since it’s not trained to subservient, it often claps back and debates MAGAs with straight facts. It’s actually brilliant.

There are two types of people: those that love Death Stranding and everyone else. There are few games out there that so effortlessly predicted the future so ardently and the second is MGS2.

Promoting this AI slop regardless of the context is the epitome of cringe
love this @rokhanna.bsky.social

We need more proposals like this that co-opt the chaos

Please share off line as well !!!

There’s something kind of awful yet hilarious watching YouTubers talk about the downfall of technology and American society but then interrupt that to sell the same garbage apps and services in the same breath.

Gamergate took over the US government within a decade. The canary was long dead.

America is burning and barely anyone inside the fire cares.
February 3, 2025 at 2:29 AM
This is sheer fucking lunacy.
Canada is a “country that should be a (US) state,” reiterates President Trump. “They’ll get much better treatment, much better care and much lower taxes, and they’ll be much more secure.”

Literally every ABC News “Breaking” notification in the last 2 weeks has barely been news let alone breaking. First time I think I’ll ever turn off the notifications.

*make a fucking toggle to turn off sports and culture “breaking news”*

The thing I miss the most about the slow death of games journalism are the stories about people and projects. It feels like it’s just about the game now - how it looks, runs, plays - but not about how it came to be, who influenced it, where the concepts came from. I miss long form features.

Facebook deactivated my account temporarily due to a bunch of likely bots trying to access it, I can’t really see a reason to keep it up anyway.
