In the beta on AVP, it seems like the new “Spatial” button in photos includes some inferred or generated side to side data? Even previous spatial photos you can use that same button to spatialize it again and now it adds more depth (hard to explain) with side to side movement. Very cool in headset.

My parents are older and like exploring Disney parks more for the details (and the calm rides like Living with the Land). If they make it out to Epic Universe eventually, what are some spots they would really enjoy? Are there specific areas in each land they could sit and really take things in?

I admit I’m curious about the comfort, although I’ve tried the second solo knit on top and that’s helped. I love my AVP but I just wish it was lighter. The Samsung headset is interesting, but it’s that darn Apple ecosystem that’s hooked me.

I love that you mentioned Tough to be a Bug too, another mix of in theater effects and 3d video. As you said, VR feels like a great place to archive old rides. I know some projects have tried similar things in VRChat, but an official effort could be superior? Great video!

They could remake the whole environment in the Disney+ app on AVP, like the theater they have already, so you’d be able to see all the “live” effects when you watch the Muppetvision video. My fear is they’ll make some virtual version in that Epic/fortnite world they talked about before.

I followed along with your list when you posted it on the other site, and it’s because of you I read through the Three Body trilogy. I’m now halfway through Singularity is Nearer with Our Next Reality and The Lifebox up next on my list. Can’t wait to see what else you read!
