Fixed the numberplate lights on the Mercedes, what a massive faff that was. I hate doing stuff with car trim/carpet on older cars.

I see mastodon still runs ffmpeg without nice. I thought I had a hack in place for that but maybe it got overwritten with an update.

Work on my log-colours tool continues, now it can reformat date/times to give some consistency across files. Next I want to teach it to split apart those /-delimited fields in haproxy's logs so it can highlight values there

Moved a #freebsd jail between hosts for the first time today, and for bonus difficulty the hosts were different architectures (Intel > ARM) and it worked fine! Just needed to `pkg bootstrap -fy` and `pkg upgrade -fy` in it once on the new host in order to reinstall the right flavour packages […]

This holiday period I rewatched Gravity Falls, and the re-rewatched it with the commentary. It’s a very fun little show, with more depth than it may initially appear :)

Here's the insulated box I built for the batteries. Seems to be doing a decent job of keeping them warm and doesn't leak too much heat out even though it's open at the base and the "fence" end. Not bad for ~£50!

Battery insulation success! It’s been charging (on cheap rate) since 10pm and has warmed itself up to charge at its higher speed, which doesn’t usually happen with such low ambient temps.

Built a cover for the #Solar batteries out of insulation board. It's very scrappy and a "v1" effort but it fits neatly enough around all four and will hopefully keep them at a temperature they're happy with while it's colder outside.

I've shredded my hands with the aluminium tape and the edges […]
