Government & media always have and will keep Lying. It's a fact of Life. Thats why independent media, bluesky & X are important. Yes there's Lies there also & somewhere in the middle is context, Truth & the full facts. Never trust just 1 source.

Hi. I was only making points re possible X Ban in UK & the realities involving it of which a VPN surge would result due to its popularity & wide usage. Not the political situation in USA.

You could do that, but the platform is so big & popular with general public for many reasons (Iran protests good current example) the backlash would be massive & overnight UK would hit number 1 in the world for VPN usage.

Download Brave browser for searches, Privacy focused & blocks ads by default, even YT.
Privacy centered email providers exist & using a vpn as standard for social media sites also good idea. As Tesco say "Every little helps", in this case protecting your personal data.

Very valid points & whatever happens I'll be following with interest. Your media isn't wrong in saying the world is watching Australia on this. Been good chatting & gone 1am so gotta get to bed. Have a great day.

I agree re certain elements of harms & access too, it's the sledgehammer approach that's the issue & potential damaging data breaches + more govt surveillance element. Finland has right approach by teaching kids media Literacy from primary school level & long term data proves it's worked well there

Not taking part in it i can understand, but not broadcasting it no. The event has a big following in Ireland politics aside & that sizeable audience will just switch to BBC1 to watch it instead.

I watched Ivan tonight & thought he was very good. Some of the questioning was ridiciously stupid & virtious at times & Ivan took them all down with ease. It was very entertaining tv. 1st session today is worth a watch & delved into a lot of the imparsiality & transparency issues in Irish media
