I feel the same way about the propaganda relating to capitalism - 'it may be terrible and cause huge amounts of suffering across the world, but the alternatives are much worse'. I remind myself of this lie everyday. It's time we busted this particular myth once and for all.

Generational backups are a great thing as well.
Locally I keep 1 monthly backup for 3 months back, and weekly backups for the current month + more than one 'generally current' backup within the current week.
Remotely Gmail/other can be good, can keep 1 older and 1-2 more current backups there.

If it you have a problem with dynamic ip's changing. Try duckdns and cloudflare other's exist but those two are the most commonly available for tools like home assistant

If you don't own a domain name use duckdns

Though that is assuming you are not doing that already, i've never run into a situation where dmz/passthrough mode didn't just put the ISP router into a state that at 2nd router didn't handle everything.

Look into using a second non ISP router solves a lot of the problems, put the ISP router into pass through or DMZ mode point it to the new non shit router. Cost wise to get a non potato(crappy) router it's 30-40+ bucks but it's generally worth the investment.

And in fubar situations If HA won't boot restart 3 times it'll auto load the most recent backup.

This is less important but can be good to know the the HA command line.. Good things to know are start/stop/reboot as well as loading backups manually from the cli.

It's a little more effort, but I enjoy it
Some things that'll save you i find are:
Get generational backups setup asap.
During HA updates watch for key HA components and make sure a recent backup exists before doing the update.

I'm enjoying it, this patch has fleshed out crafting a good bit and added more options to the end game. Though the endgame is a timesink always, for me my idea is to get familiar with farming options and try to find more than 1 thing to enjoy instead of endlessly doing same thing on repeat.

Is loads of farm stats for harbies scarabs/atlas. Will need to unlock all 6 map slots (for 5 scarabs+the map) if you haven't yet.

won't know till closer to 0.3 patch if it'll be in there, and there 'should' be a druid at some point but exactly when is just rumor/speculation at this point

Not missing anything really, it's an old game where lots of non optimized drops happen. Anul shards and ancient shards can be useful to include in a filter if you are target farming harbies.. Faustus exists now, some ppl may prefer to buy anul/ancient off him if they're crafting/chancing items etc.

For PoE generally speaking follow outer edges/walls follow till you find entrances/exits etc. It's not 100% but usually works. And if you see round compass looking things on the ground they are way points (fast travel points). And in caves if you come across "long" bridges that's usually where to go

Ascendancy swapping is coming soon maybe that will help. I sometimes jam some other character to get more gear built up then fix figure out other characters once i have more options available to get things going.
