Just as Frodo Baggins embarked on a perilous journey through Middle-earth, carrying the heavy burden of the One Ring, J.R.R. Tolkien undertook his own odyssey within the scholarly halls of Oxford University. Like Rivendell, Oxford was a haven of wisdom and learning.
