Finally found time to read some more and finished my first run Firetop after finding the locked chest and only having one of the three keys!!! I'm glad I followed @richardbowes.bsky.social advice and drew a map!

I'm trying to refrain from any cheese based puns. The temptation to say loads of cheesy based one liners is too much I camembert it!

I guess it's not the most environmentally friendly option. I was thinking I'd probably just offset its largish carbon (and sulfur) footprint by planting a couple of trees or something.

Nice choice on heating. I went for the Argent energy heating option. I know there is the whole gateway to hell thing but it's 15% more effective than solar and I should see a return on my investment in about 3-5 years!

Quick update, just downloaded the game as its on sale on the Switch for £1.99! Will still finish the book first tho.

Seeing your message I've just spent the past hour or so watching videos of it and remembered I saw a really positive review for it on Conslevania a little while back. I really like the whole miniatures/board game aesthetic

I'm playing my 1st attempt and not too far (playing risky slaying orcs & opening all doors & boxes offered). I've enjoyed my short time with it and am excited that I've just started my Fighting Fantasy journey. Tho it is competing with Balatro for my free time! Hope you have had a great new year!

I started a couple of nights ago with The Warlock of Firetop Mountain. Sadly ive not had a chance to pick it back up since. Haven't got too far as been taking my time figuring it out but it's quite engrossing. Fortunately I initially rolled good skill as my stamina and luck rolls were a bit crap 😂

I've not read a Fighting Fantasy before but have really wanted to (used to read Choose Your Own Adventure growing up many many many moons ago). I can't wait to start my first one (hopefully later today). Hope you have had a great Christmas and festive break.
