Her later work is really underappreciated. Songs like Reindeer King, Forest of Glass, Metal
Water Wood, Climb, Bats, Bang, Flowers Burn to Gold, Weatherman… all as good as her 90s stuff for me.

I have never quite believed the story that it was improvised on the spot - I mean how can that even be possible? You might appreciate my best of Tori playlist.

Rubber
A little blubber in my igloo, yes
And I knew you
Pigtails and all
Girls when they fall
And they said Marianne killed herself
And I said not a chance
Not a chance

My top five:
1. Josephine
2. Spring Haze
3. Concertina
4. Juarez
5. Bliss
Have you heard the newish live version of Spring Haze from the last tour? To my mind it’s even better than the studio track. And it’s 12 minutes long.

I hadn't considered this... though I think we read somewhere that Tash was featured on this album again, and my guess would be she would take the lead on back-ups for the record.

You might appreciate my best of Tori playlist instead? It’s very long as she has so much good stuff but you could dip in and out of it.

She’s had a pretty incredible career. She’s had 10 US Billboard top 10 albums now. She had three top 10 singles and a number 1 album in the UK. I wonder whether she’d actually do as well now, in an age where Taylor Swift is hailed as the best songwriter of the moment and the charts are full of pap.

I hope you enjoy it. Forest of Glass is my favourite Tori b-side and one of my favourite of her entire catalogue. Dutchman was originally meant to be on LE i believe, along with Take to the Sky and Upside Down. All amazing songs!

Agreed. And the Diving Deep Live version of Climb is even better than the original.

I agree. While I think the heights of Native Invader (Reindeer King, Climb, Bats) are higher, as a coherent album of consistent quality Ocean to Ocean is her best since Scarlet’s Walk.
