I would have added the word is. If they were concerned about saving space (on the internet,) they could have omitted the unnecessary “now” as it is implied by the use of present tense.

Louisiana’s coast is comprised of communities of people who have been historically marginalized or oppressed. There are Cajuns whose ancestors were ejected from Canada. Indigenous people pushed to the edge of the Earth. Vietnamese and Cambodian fishers. Descendants of enslaved people.
