Bit unsure of how I feel about Shadow of the Erdtree getting a TGA nomination for GOTY. Like, it's easily one of the best things I've played this year but I feel a game of the year nomination should be for a brand new game. Surely something like Like a Dragon or Tekken 8 could have fit in there?

Downloaded the Nintendo Music app after remembering it existed - love the fact that Nintendo have got individual screenshots for every single track. Just madness but madness I can appreciate.

Caught two spooky films this past Halloween weekend.
Heretic - Incredibly captivating stuff from Hugh Grant was clearly having lots of fun. Falls apart narratively in the last half hour.
Longlegs - Only really worth it for Nicolas Cage, rest of the film was a bit of a mess.

Started Metaphor today. This really is just Persona 6, right? I mean they've got the Velvet Room complete with the trope of the other party members not being able to see the weird mystical dude.
I should add, none of that is a bad thing, I am SO up for Persona 6: Elf Edition.

After being disappointed by poor animation in Uzumaki and Blue Lock S2, I went on a Mob Psycho 100 clip binge and I'm so, so happy that show got the adaption it deserved. Still my favourite anime.

Very late to the party but been loving Vampire Survivors after giving it a go on Game Trials via Switch Online. My launch Switch is probably going to explode with how insane the game can get towards the end of each stage with the sheer amount of shit on screen. Just particles and effects everywhere.

Been playing the Super Mario RPG remake. It is brimming with charm. The redone music is incredible and those animated cutscenes are gorgeous. Also, Bowser is brilliant in this - just a big goofy guy. Going from Rebirth to this, you can still see the Square DNA with the random minigames. Great stuff.

Finally got around to playing Death Stranding. Sunk about ten hours into it so far. So many interesting ideas in here and I love the idea of connecting with other players as you progress. There's some real poignant, clever layers to this. There's also Hologram Geoff Keighley. Thoroughly pure Kojima.

Nobody told me Nier Replicant was a secret Animal Crossing game. Spent most of my playtime so far fishing and gardening. Half expecting Tom Nook to turn up and help me battle some Shades next.

Been playing Gotham Knights in co-op lately. It really is a rough experience - watching the framerate stutter and chug to a crawl when using the bike is pretty miserable. The combat just feels unsatisfying too. I miss the weighted feel to the fights in the Arkham games.

The Zelda movie news is giving me the fear. I really wasn't wanting a live action Zelda - the prospect of something like Tom Holland being Link is horrifying to me.

I remember checking out this new show which had been getting rave reviews back in 2013 and being captivated by the end of the first episode. Fast forward 10 years and having just finished the last episode, I think Attack on Titan is going to stand the test of time as one of anime's all time greats.

Finished Gen V on Prime Video. Went with lukewarm expectations - came away pretty damn impressed by the series. Still kept the snark and satire from The Boys, just put a different spin on things. Keen for more! Also, blood bending powers rule.
