Here is my Top 10+6 of 2024. It’s been another great year for film. Unfortunately I missed out on a few heavy hitters that could have made the list (Anora, Challengers, etc) but I’m sure I’ll get around to them eventually.

I’ve always liked Sebastian Stan but if you told me this time last year that I’d come to regard him as one of the most exciting actors of his generation, I just would not believe you. He has had an outstanding 2024 and I’m glad he’s getting nominated for both A Different Man and for The Apprentice.

Can’t stop thinking about Ang Lee’s Hulk (2003). In the year 2024, it feels positively experimental in terms of its direction, editing & themes. I Can’t help but think about what a sequel would have looked like.
