Still early days but the first potting on of the chillies (🌱🌶️) last night.

Aubergines later and lots more sowings over the weekend. Maybe time for the tomatoes?

Finally got round to planting out my Mulberry tree that's lived in a pot for the last 2 years.

Hopefully it will forgive me and thrive.

Before and after clearing this patch of brambles and weeds at the #allotment.

Hopefully weather won't be too cold and wet tomorrow.

Exciting, expect these #broadbeans will be up by morning. I'll have to get them under a grow light before moving them out to the greenhouse.

Is it a true garden centre if it doesn't have cats?

I didn't sow in during autumn for early #broadbeans. Rookie mistake. Hoping these get a head start indoors. I'll move them out to the greenhouse once they've germinated and plant them out in March.

The first germination of the year. Sugar Rush Stripey - fresh seed from South Devon Chilli Farm. Hopefully this bodes well as last year's left over seed didn't germinate.

You can sow it most of the year and it overwinters well. Comes into its own at this time of year and you can harvest through to March. You can just pick the lower leaves and let it grow tall or mass sow and harvest it as a microgreen.

Starting off #aubergines / #eggplants. I'll probably do a back up second sowing in spring. Mostly long thin sausage shaped aubergines rather than the type you get in the supermarket.

This year varieties are:
- Early Long Purple 2
- Gretel F1
- Hansel F1
- Moneymaker F1
