Even worse than not spending the money is that the ownership group are pocketing somewhere between $53M and $140M per year in operating incomes while the city publicly financed the stadium (so did Goodyear).

One would weight each owner’s net worth with their number of shares to come up with a collective Reds net worth. There’s not enough public info to do it.

A lifetime 1.54 HR/9 rate while the league average last year was 1.14 HR/9 is terrifying though. Giving up homers at a clip 36% higher than league average overrides his natural stuff.

This move could be exciting because it would portend acquisitions of everyday outfielders. Don’t think it would be the wisest move to carry a DH and a platoon system simultaneously.

Indeed bad BABIP luck was only part of it. He went from mashing to struggling against lefties.

The avg LF position group had a -3.5 fielding run value and his -4 was slightly below avg. At league min pay in 2025, he’ll probably hit and field at MLB LF avg. Many other roster holes to worry about.

Steer having a similar batted ball profile in 2024 compared to 2023 but then having a horribly unlucky .218 BABIP with bases empty tells you everything you need to know. He will be better in 2025.

If MLB centralized all TV rights it would level the opportunity without reducing the pool of player pay. MLBPA will never accept a cap.

Dude is going to mash in 2025 if he’s healthy.
November 25, 2024 at 12:24 PM
My takeaway from the 2024 Reds is that third base is the biggest position of need more than the outfield. Arenado for Candelario and a mid tier prospect would be another solid MLBer for MLBer trade the Reds should pursue.

Oh you meant realistic. Lol

Please get two of Brandon Lowe, Nolan Arenado, Ha-Seong Kim, Luis Robert, Taylor Ward, Tyler O’Neill, or Alec Bohm

His OAA stats have a wild performance range and his xBA is ridiculously higher than his actual stats.

Who are you rooting for today?

Singer’s lefty splits are terrifying. What position would have India played in 2025 in Cincinnati? This is probably the best value the Reds could get though.

Timing of the trade happened right after Espinal signed at a lower than expected arbitration deal, too.
