I work in a cinema and see a lot of unpleasant things after a movie. For some reason for me the worst are the little piles of nails on the arms of chairs. Doesn’t happen often, but does happen!

I may be part of the problem there… thought I’d accidentally unsubscribed, so resubscribed then found out I still had my original subscription so unsubscribed my resubscription! I guess that’s a net equal… but, well… sorry!

I used to get my haircut with my dad. He always paid and left a little tip. As he got older, the price went up and he didn’t notice. So for about a year he underpaid by a couple of bucks. The barber was lovely and didn’t say anything. First haircut after he died I settled up plus actual tip.

Oh my goodness! Thank you so very much for digging that out. That was better than a Time Machine! I would have been 8 and we’d have just got a telly. Funny how things stick! I’m all emotional. Petula Clark’s place is indeed at number one!

I have a vivid memory of Down Town regularly being played in the Broom Cupboard on CBBC when I was a kid… goodness only knows why! Or if I’ve imagined it. Great song, either way.

Oh man. It’s so hard. You are dealing in an area where people have a near tribal love of specific musicians/bands. Football fandom is the closest analogue I can think of. If you compliment Man Utd but not Liverpool you are in SERIOUS trouble. It’s not rational.
