⭕️ The Dartmouth Big Green capitalized 23-seconds into this EMO opportunity vs. Vermont on 2/28.

Principles in action:

• Seals
• Crease leaks
• Backside cuts
• Multiple formations

What catches your eye in this set?

It’s a bye week for the Saints and that means I got some much needed quality time with my girls.

Another road trip in the books after a 72-hour jaunt to Atlanta for good times, good food, and good people.

This photo holds a special place in my heart.

My daughter was born the same year our lacrosse program at Flagler College was founded, and in many ways, they’ve grown up together.

She’s spent countless hours on this field, just as the young men who’ve poured their hearts into this program have.

Yeah, those were the days.

I’ll take headlines that will make me smash the story link for $1,000, Alex
Radiation-induced mutations may not be the reason for the genetic differences between dog populations living near the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, according to a new study.

The study has implications for our understanding of the effects of nuclear radiation exposure on populations.

What can people tell me about @ghost.org?

I’m originally from D.C. and came across @51st.news late last year. It’s a beautiful publication with *amazing* content published via Ghost.

I publish a local newsletter elsewhere, but am considering a new pub on Ghost.

Thoughts? Insight?

I like it better here. Just need some more homies to make the migration.

I like to write/talk about online writing, small biz, all of the music, and a healthy amount of sports.

Who do I need to follow here?

🎉 Need more events for your local newsletter?

Let them come to you.

This is a best practice, even if it isn’t immediately utilized.

Do this and keep it active for eternity 🧵

Unsubscribe surveys aren't for the faint of heart.

But sometimes they're hilarious.

Sorry, guy.

Local newsletter-ers:

Walk into a local biz you like.

Intro yourself to owner(s).

Tell them you love their biz.

Ask if you can write about it.

Include a link to gauge interaction.

Take results back to biz.

If it goes well, “maybe it makes sense to regularly rent some real estate?”

Don’t: Start a local newsletter to make coin.

Do: Start a local newsletter to build a community, make lasting relationships, and become a part of the fabric of your region.

Execute the latter well and the money will take care of itself.

Don’t be a carpetbagger.

Struggling to grow your local newsletter without paid ads? Here’s your not-so-secret weapon: social media.

In 2024, I launched the @oldcitylowdown.com, a local newsletter in St. Augustine, Fla. Here’s how I turned memes, selfies & historic photos into tools to earn engaged followers. 🧵

Start a local newsletter.

Seriously. Just do it.

Build a community.

Create a long term business.

Make friends along the way.

You won't regret it.
