Some pics from a long weekend trip, walking in Crickhowell, Wales.

Could never get bored of playing Parkstone GC, one of the best in the country.

Might be of interest. Bruno's goal creating actions against total attempted passes & then misplaced passes. Tells a story I think when compared to the players around him. Easy to top the table for chance/goal creation when you attempt so many passes, but it comes at a cost when you misplace so many

Interesting, if you look at his goal creating actions as a product of attempted passes it looks okay. But as a product of misplaced passes the problem is really clear. Its easy to create chances/goals when you attempt lots of passes - but at what cost to your team when >30% are misplaced...

am interested in that won possession 24 times stat, do you have the source? This is the season so far - no interceptions, 2nd highest for lost challenges, poor in terms of blocks and tackles...

Here is what I was referring to in the last reply - no interceptions, 2nd highest for lost challenges, bottom half for blocks and tackles.

Will those ‘chances’ be worth it if he loses the ball more than 400 times again. The worst in all of Europe by a distance.
September 1, 2025 at 6:16 PM
That fact Bruno gets on the ball so much is exactly our problem. We turn the ball over more than any other team because of him. There isn’t a worse player in all of Europe at completing a pass, it’s scandalous he has played as much as he has for us.

I pointed out that we hadn't signed any players 'to fit his system', and you disagreed??
August 28, 2025 at 8:15 AM
Thanks for taking time to produce this critique, I agree with a lot of it. I'm confused by Kosmyna's comment to Time about trying to trick people using LLMs to summarise, as they state the model in the paper clearly...? Am I missing something?
June 21, 2025 at 9:58 AM
Congratulations to you and your team on the huge amount of work that's gone in to this paper. Could you clarify the confusion that seems to be doing the rounds in relation to this comment? In your paper you do state o4 was used by participant so it makes the Time comment confusing. Thanks!
June 21, 2025 at 9:53 AM
it's stated they used o4 in the paper?
June 21, 2025 at 9:38 AM
It's clearly stated in the paper they used o4. What am I missing here?
June 21, 2025 at 9:37 AM
What am I missing here? The paper explicitly states participants used 4o?

Thought I’d sneak out for a quick 9 holes, should have checked the weather forecast.
June 7, 2025 at 5:31 PM
Maybe he’ll reach 3000 lost possessions with us 🤦‍♂️ averaging 550 per season so far, for the lofty return of…8 assists 🤯
June 3, 2025 at 1:15 PM
what exactly would Utd be 'replacing'? An average of 8 assists per season? Or someone to give the ball away more (2200 times!) than any other player across ALL of Europe?
June 3, 2025 at 12:12 PM
Consider 'positive' KPIs like assists relative to negative actions, like losing possession. Bruno is outrageously expensive in terms of misplaced passes per assist.
June 3, 2025 at 10:09 AM
Such a shame we haven't managed to remove Bruno, more of the same next year I fear if he stays.
June 3, 2025 at 9:37 AM
If there is one positive to come from last night it would be this!

Simply cannot carry a player this wasteful.

At nearly 16 hrs on Audible I wasn’t sure a ‘history of the Luddites’ was going to hold my attention. I was very wrong! #BloodInTheMachine from @bcmerchant.bsky.social was excellent, and the parallels to contemporary #AI discussions are very well drawn. A must read for anyone working on AI policy.
