Exactly. Their supporters don't live or travel to these cities so it's an easy lie. Many of them still think the BLM protests burned down whole cities.

No, there is nothing urgent. The US base has been there since the 1940s. There is literally zero reason the US needs to own Greenland.

It is also a base for managing early warning radars and space-based resources. No combat troops are stationed there to defend Greenland or anywhere else.

The change will only impact how the US government refers to it. They cannot change what any other country calls it. There are numerous bodies of water that countries call different things for domestic political reasons. It's a meaningless move.

I think that's exactly what happened after it hit social media. They didn't create the situation but people are likely messing around now. They don't need to be coordinated. Anyone can buy a drone on Amazon.

Because all these crazy people believing there is a big conspiracy is a microcosm of the lack of trust in government and it's painful to see when its so obviously misplaced.

A lot of GOP are learning bad lessons from Trump. Never back down, never admit you were wrong, always double down on an issue no matter how stupid it is or how wrong you are. They will do whatever and say whatever to get attention.

These are things that the government already works hard to limit, get back, prosecute, etc. This is not new ground they are talking about.
