A.I. has somehow managed to even ruin the "cute cat pictures" corner of the internet. No matter how many times I flag an account as "I don't want to see this anymore," I'm served up A.I. animals instead of real ones. Mostly an issue on Facebook, which I can't quit b/c so much family's on there.

I really don't like the new trend of appending clarifying parentheses to sentences (irritated). It's like a way cringier, on-the-nose version of "/s." If you think your statement is so open to interpretation, just use different words. Alas, this is not a battle I will win.

For the longest time, I had this strange notation that gizzards (i.e. chicken gizzards) were the red fleshy neck flaps (actually called "wattles") and was grossed out by the idea of eating them. Somehow, knowing they are actually an organ with no human analogue makes them more palatable to me.

Love of animals is one of the few things that can cross political and ideological boundaries. But... handpicked videos of inter-species friendship contrasted to human awfulness are sometimes tiring. I 100% get the point, but humans are not lacking in empathy or goodness if you similarly cherry-pick.

Siblings not by blood, but by circumstance. I don't think they are too upset about it.
