ALWAYS better to Place vs. Copy/Paste. BUT, as long as the image you are copying is high resolution enough at the size you make it and the color space is correct, it will work... I just don't recommend it, though.

Connect Fonts = Extensis? If so, I agree completely. That ridiculously overpriced utility is a slug. I've tried several Font Managers that are much better, eventually settling on RightFont.

While it would be easy to replace Illustrator with Affinity Designer, and possible replace Photoshop with Affinity Photo (there are some HUGE holes to fill), I find Affinity Publisher to be lacking so many tools & features found in InDesign that I can't even consider using it for any serious work.
