In 2026, the winners will be the ones who campaigned on relentlessly hunting down and bringing every last one of these criminals to swift justice.

Well, their subscribers are leaving in droves because they keep publishing stuff like this, and generally speaking, customer attrition is considered bad for business. If the HR and legal departments don't put a stop to this, then the marketing, sales, accounting, and finance departments will.

Yes, that is absolutely true in many cases of internal misconduct (one employee harassing/abusing/assaulting another employee).

But in this case, we're talking about an employee who is making abhorrent public statements of opinion which reflect extremely poorly on the company and its management.

Ever thought about replacing Explorer completely? There are lots of cool alternatives out there, many of which have customizable copy handlers (e.g., Taskmaster in #OneCommander). Or a less extreme option like an Explorer add-on/extension might be preferable. Have you seen #TeraCopy or #Ultracopier?

Yep, and one of the best ways to do that is by either disciplining or terminating employees who, by their words and/or actions, make the company look bad. It's pretty straightforward.

That is a pretty good idea though. Have the copy operation start right away, begin the calculation process in a separate thread, and when the calculation finishes, update the progress bar accordingly. I'm sure it would be a bit more complicated than that, but it could be a nice improvement!

If you're really that bothered by it, I would suggest looking into using xcopy in the terminal, or if you prefer the GUI, a dedicated copy handler.

How to skip "Calculating" time when copying files using Windows explorer?
When copying hundreds of small files/folders on Windows, the calculating phase of Windows often takes a really long time before anything starts actually being copied. Is there a setting to tell Win...

If they did that, then the progress bar wouldn't be accurate. MS took a lot of heat back in the day for the progress bar being inaccurate, and that was because it was doing a simple "files copied ÷ total files to copy" operation and displaying the result, failing to account for different file sizes.

Came here to say this. My PowerShell scripts often have too many parameters to put on one line with the function def. Also, PowerShell params can have all kinds of modifiers and specifications added to them, making each param a full line of code all by itself. Readability is paramount in good code.

Many small files take longer to copy than one large file due to the overhead of adding metadata to the Master File Table. It's checking and adding up all of the individual file sizes, then multiplying that by an overhead coefficient of some kind, so it can display a reasonably accurate progress bar.

This is generic #Vyvanse or #Elvanse. Most folks who take this medication probably don't know its chemical compound name.

Well, the delayed PRs were finally added to my score this morning. Still not sure why they were stuck in the first place though. 🤷
