I’m confused, does this mean the PS1 controller works in all cores and menus?

My Platinum Trophies:

1. Astro’s Playroom
2. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
3. Astro Bot
4. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Naturally, I need to Platinum both Astro Bot Rescue Mission and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

Marking as “Suggestive” as the Astro Bot screenshot is a (predictable) spoiler.

A better solution, if you don't have/plan on getting SuperDock, may be to look at Bluetooth controllers (example: the Nintendo Classics Nintendo 64 controller).

Generic USB adapters may work, but compatibility may be sketchy.

I may be wrong, but I believe this functionality will only be available to customers who buy the SuperDock. The SuperStation One base unit only has USB ports, no user-accessible Serial IO for SNAC.

Just to set expectations, Taki is using the SNAC bypass port on the SuperDock in the video. This uses USB connector, but is not a USB port.

Good news: It's super low latency. Bad news: USB stuff doesn't work in Serial IO & Serial IO stuff (i.e. SNAC) doesn't work in USB.

The port used for SNAC adapters on the MiSTer / DE10 Nano board uses the physical USB connector, but crucially, it does not comply to the USB standards. This means you couldn’t plug in a PS5 controller into that specific port, for example. They likely used USB as the component cards are affordable.

It looks like the N64 SNAC adapter from their MiSTER Pi range (currently sold out — retroremake.co/products/n64...) but I’d expect any N64 SNAC adapter to be supported.

Major changes are needed to ensure sustainability and longevity return to the industry. I believe the first step of that is not further fragmenting the audience across three generations of console. The focus needs to remain adaptation to the current console generation.

The industry is broken. Games take too long to develop, and pushing the technical envelope will only make that situation worse. Development is too long, budgets are too high — every game is make or break for a studio.

The only silver lining I’ve come across in this situation are the reports that Sony are delaying the PlayStation 6 generation.
