May 19, 2007, I wandered into a street party/rally for Bashar Al-Assad, at the Hejaz rail station in Damascus, and shot this on my Motorola RAZR. 8 days later Assad "won" an election boycotted by the Syrian opposition. It's been a couple of days of complicated feelings and thoughts about Syria.
