The most unassuming man who simply wanted to write in his shed. Thank god he did. Goodspeed, Allan, and thank you for all the masterpieces you have left behind. My girls' favourite bedtime book, the utterly exquisite Monkey Do! Picture books do not get better than his/Janet's.
