Democrats seem to have an almost unshakable deference for seniority and it has negatively impacted elections for at least 10 years.

Price discrimination is the holy grail of sales. Price discrimination allows businesses to charge the exact amount a customer is willing to pay, capturing 100% of economic surplus. That is the point of dynamic pricing.

This is similar to the placebo trials RFK wants to do for vaccines. It sounds good to the ignorant, but it means withholding our best attested treatment to produce (less reliable) research.
May 11, 2025 at 4:49 PM
That is impossible. It would snow at least half the Saturdays.

I'm not missing the point. You do not understand how political affiliation works in the US. No amount of pain from bad policy will erode GOP support overtime.
May 10, 2025 at 1:24 PM
That's not how it works in the US. The more precarious a person's life is, the more likely they are to be religious. In the US, more religious people are more likely conservative and Republican. Policies that hurt people make more GOP voters.

I'm not sure about malls, but office parks are already prisons with worse amenities.

This is an outrage. He can't be allowed to rob the country of 850 new Spirit Halloweens!

Removing tax exemption and blocking international student visas. He has cards to play, but we all know he's going to play them regardless of what Harvard does.

Universities get billions of dollars for medical research. Harvard in particular has successfully produced advances to improve medical outcomes for soldiers for the DoD.

As much as possible, federal money should be used for capital projects. Making operational budgets dependent on unreliable funding is begging for chaos.

Every response of yours proves my original point beautifully. Good bye.
April 8, 2025 at 7:12 PM
You should try it some time.

It means Trump is incapable of changing his mind.
March 18, 2025 at 12:37 AM
I bet that felt good.

If Democrats ever hope to win, they have to stop blaming and shaming voters. Even if it's entirely justified, it only loses votes.
March 14, 2025 at 7:11 PM
Harvard has roughly 400,000 graduates. Why do you expect 100% adherence to your political views? How is rejecting everything else the university has done on account of less than 0.025% of graduates any different than the far right's anti-intellectualism?
March 9, 2025 at 2:41 PM
Europe didn't force the US to do anything. The US built the current system.
March 9, 2025 at 11:29 AM
IANAL, but this seems like a Bill of Attainder.
March 8, 2025 at 2:21 PM
They? This story is only about one university. Your post sounds an awful lot like an anti-intellectual rejection of higher education.
March 8, 2025 at 1:37 PM
I assume they are trying to repeat the pussyhat protests in a more decorous fashion.
March 5, 2025 at 11:39 AM
The mayor of a city of 8 million people is an important issue. How can you claim to be saving "our country, our democracy, our republic" while telling people not to care about local government?
March 2, 2025 at 6:29 PM
I question whether these candidates even attract moderate white voters. They definitely lose more votes on net.

States do not collect income tax on behalf of the federal government. It goes directly from employers to the IRS.
