👉 Thanks to a top piece of investigative work by Kabir Yusuf from @premiumtimesng.bsky.social we now know that the Lady Mayoress, Abigail Katung - who is also the wife of Nigerian Senator, Sunday Katung - is alleged to have used the black market to transfer funds to the UK to buy the property.

@spotlightcorruption.org will be keeping a close eye on what the government says in response to these questions and whether it sets a firm timeline for reform.

There's obviously lots of interest in this topic atm and the government is under pressure to say what it will do to close huge loopholes that allow non-UK voters (including a certain US billionaire) to potentially donate to British political parties.
