Moderated spaces like Reddit work better for anonymous discussions. Unmoderated spaces like Bluesky are less well equipped to deal with it.

It’s not just
impersonation, the challenge is the increasing proportion of inauthentic accounts: people employed to sow disinformation and push radicalisation on hundreds of sock puppet accounts, and going forward, millions of generative AI bots who will be increasingly difficult to spot.

Besides the celebrity impersonators, ID verification (not “I paid 8 dollars”) would help reduce the influence of inauthentic propaganda accounts.

And the courts should then have done the right thing and leave it to the voters, who could then point to the courts doing nothing to justify that the accusations people made against the Emperor were trumped up.
