I’ll share this helpful editing suggestion my phone gave me while I was working on a new essay. I am now passionately determined to make “respobdibility” part of the general lexicon. 🤣

An observation: any files saved with the word "Final" in the name will inevitably generate at least three further (and nearly identical) files before they cumulatively generate the (glorious) response, "Your files have been approved for production." The printing and binding phase starts now!

The Halloween Tree, day thirty-one, at night. Even with no leaves, this tree is glowing proper.

The Coppervale Studio Halloween Tree, Day thirty-one. Almost completely leaf-nekkid, now. It was a pretty good run this year. I’ll post one more photo, of it lit up tonight.

The Coppervale Studio Halloween Tree, day twenty-eight. Almost all of the leaves have been crispified, and most of them have dropped, now.

I AM the Pumpkin King, and October’s Heir, married to the Queen of Halloween - and the Coppervale Studio Halloween Tree is ready for the Great Pumpkin to come to Silvertown.

Things that give me focus: my first drawing of Superman; a quote and fantastic illustration by the great Jeffrey Alan Love; and an amazing quote by the brilliant and wise Wendy Pini.

Our librarian friend staying with us messaged this morning that she couldn’t get to the highway - something about center street being closed off. We only just now found out why the block at the end of our street has been closed since last night. Going to be processing this for a bit.

After my last Drawing out the Dragons at the Superstars Writing Seminar, at the charity auction Saturday, my pal JT blew us all away - and rendered me literally speechless - by bidding SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS if he could get BOTH the right hand drawing AND the left hand one. Stunned. Just stunned.

The Honey Dog, in an Andrew Wyeth/Jeffrey Jones setting. Blind, deaf, losing her hair, and doing her best to be a Good Dog.

You’ve never seen a bunch of dogs pee so fast as when it was zero degrees outside this morning and they know the space heater by dad’s couch is on. ☺️

Coming upstairs to get the dogs settled in my office and make tea for Helen, I glanced into the library and saw a gumball machine being illuminated by a single ray of light. Magic happens in moments - be ready, be willing, as Wayne Dyer said. Sometimes you just have to be willing to see it.
