NUFC and boxing. Bit of software development, possibly.
Woltemade is a class player, but his lack of pace is a problem in this formation. Everyone talks about our big 3 in midfield, but I thought thee who started against Spurs looked far better balanced than our first choice 3 have done for a while now.

When you play the top 4 sides, you need them to miss a chance or two. If three of their 4 shots on target go in, you've got no chance.

It's not difficult to point to a success story at another club and say, "we should have signed him." That's a ridiculous use of hindsight. Why didn't Liverpool sign him before he went to Bournemouth, if it's that easy? Would have saved them a lot of money.

He's advocating for greater squad depth, but the trade-off is less individual quality. OK, squad depth is good, but do we qualify for the UCL or win the cup last season with less quality in the first 11? I don't think so.
June 17, 2025 at 8:34 AM
If we'd spent smaller transfer fees over a longer period of time, I don't believe we'd have qualified for the UCL or won the cup this season. You talk about signing cheaper, hidden gems as if it isn't massively difficult or inheritaly risky.
June 16, 2025 at 8:32 AM
So you would rather we'd been able to buy more players in the past 18 months but had not qualified for the UCL or won the cup?
June 16, 2025 at 8:20 AM
The outcomes appear to be that we've won a trophy and qualified for the UCL twice. You're critising decisions that have brought tangible success.
June 16, 2025 at 8:14 AM
Oh, right, I had no idea prone meant face down. Just thought it meant you'd been knacked.
June 14, 2025 at 12:35 PM
This is what you would see if you they'd just give you a good kicking in a ballroom and you were lying prone on the floor.
June 14, 2025 at 9:41 AM
Will they need to change their formation to accommodate him? I imagine you covered that in the video. I should probably watch it.
June 13, 2025 at 6:07 PM
Had to read that a few times before I understood he hadn't done a 10k in 7 minutes. Bravo, young man!
June 9, 2025 at 8:40 AM
I don't dabble in supposition or idle speculation. I deal in cold, hard facts.
June 7, 2025 at 7:01 PM
That's a no then
June 7, 2025 at 5:38 PM
I didn't deny anything. I asked if he'd ever publicly stated that.
June 7, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Has he ever actually stated this? Either way, it's not an unreasonable policy.
June 7, 2025 at 3:39 PM
Younger players like Cordero have been signed from overseas. Minteh, too. It's just going to take a while for us to feel the benefits. Very difficult to identify a low price under the radar signing who can be a first team option straight away
June 7, 2025 at 10:48 AM
Howe was pivotal in the signings of Bruno, Tonali, Botman, and Isak, so I find it difficult to believe he has closed off the possibility of overseas signings.
June 7, 2025 at 10:39 AM
I don't believe that restriction exists. Just an unfounded thing people like to trot out.
June 7, 2025 at 10:34 AM
Ideally, we'd get a left footer, but I don't see many around who are good enough that we can realistically buy.
June 7, 2025 at 9:32 AM
I'd be all for McAtee. We need to stick to these younger, unproven players. We've had good success with Hall, Livramento, Gordon, and Botman. We're just not geared up yet to compete with the cartel for established stars.
June 6, 2025 at 1:24 PM
Somebody makes up a completely false piece of information, and then people go on about how terrible this pretend thing is. It's so tedious.
June 5, 2025 at 10:45 PM
I didn't mean they deserved it. I think they just used up all their 9 lives getting to the final.
June 2, 2025 at 9:43 AM
I felt like Inter had that coming. They've had an amazing campaign to reach the final, but they relied heavily on their keeper.
June 1, 2025 at 3:09 PM
Not sure that's fair. Thought he did well defensively for the most part against Chelsea and Arsenal.
May 29, 2025 at 9:58 AM
He did. He was a massive fanny though. Could never see him tracking back or filling in at wing back like Murphy does.
