My small Dexter cattle wouldn't qualify as 'megafauna', but they do fulfil some of the same ecological functions, and are the best option going here in West Cork.
Managed right, they're SO much more nature-friendly than sheep. I reckon they look pretty cool, too!

People should be aware, of course, that any sort of livestock interact with natural ecosystems very differently to wild grazers, regulated by predators.
Unless numbers are absolutely minimal, and grazing periods highly limited, they'll be damaging to nature.

Sure, cattle is really just domesticated aurochs, and the day we let them roam freely again they wont look back :)
