Even after that amazing performance against Newcastle, does the results of our rivals now mean that tonight’s game is a “must-win” as well? I had been banking on at least one of Chelsea or Forest dropping points. #avfc

I have a feeling we win today and this week will mark the start of our march towards the top 6 (hopefully!🤞🏻). It’s about time our season kicked off properly and we hit a run of form. Players returning from injury over the next few weeks should help. Hoping this isn’t just blind optimism!😬 #avfc

So Bailey has clearly been told he can leave. Man Utd and Spurs haven’t both coincidentally decided he’s someone to target. Surprised with the amount of change we’re seeing this window - more change than some summer transfer windows! #avfc

So are we getting Rashford instead of Joao Felix or is there a chance we get both? Very underwhelmed by this. Don’t see how he gets in ahead of Watkins, Ramsey or Rogers. Hope it doesn’t have anything to do with Watkins moving…a lot going on at Villa! #avfc

So we’re selling Duran and possibly replacing him with Cunha and Tel - that would be an incredible outcome. Some great moments this season from Duran but £60+ million for essentially a super sub (albeit with massive potential) is a great deal!#avfc

Talk of Duran going to Saudi is absolutely baffling. His current team are close to qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League and he’s likely to move to one of the best teams in Europe in the next 12 months and earn a relative shed load of money anyway! Where’s the ambition? #avfc

There is absolutely no way we’ve sold Diego Carlos without having a replacement either lined up or very close to joining. Have no idea if that will be Badé but we’re not ending the window with Konsa and Mings as our only two fit senior centre backs. Not a chance. #avfc

Bit of a meh first half. We’ve played better and we’ve played worse. Another early goal conceded and another from a defensive mistake! When will we learn?!😫 Monaco are nothing special and are there for the taking. Improving our passing would be a good start. #avfc
