For me it’s the fact that the vast majority of releases are average at best. While I can immerse myself in an average movie and tune out, I can’t tune out from the constant distraction of talkers, whisperers (way more annoying), loud eaters, chair shakers, phones going off and other selfish acts.

Feel your pain Holly. It’s crap how inconsiderate people can be on public transport. I really wish we could take a leaf from Japan’s book when it comes to keeping things quiet and respecting others right to a peaceful journey. It’s clear we need better rules to deal with noise pollution in public.
