AI companies now claim that their models are capable of genuine reasoning — the type of thinking you and I do when we want to solve a problem.

Is that true? What counts as reasoning?

Sometimes I recognize trying to "understand" all the information that comes my way is foolish, most the time I pretend it's not. I've got to be insane.

I'm currently learning Fluka and G4beamline, starting with the later, and I while I love simulating, I do wish we would modernize some of these scientific UI's.
