Nobody tried to buy him when he was smashing it... top goal scorer, almost 2 years in a row, voted POTS by everyone and called up to national squad for the euros.

I agree with the urgency a new striker is required but I think Shankland absolutely was and is good enough... last 2 seasons prove that.

With his lack of pace, we are limited to certain type of attacks with him as our 9... but Musa and Vargas ahead of him gives us a new threat and different options

100% agree... Neil is the one working with the players daily so he knows who is best fit for what challenge lies ahead or what tactics he wants to play... trust in the manager 🙏🏻😅

I think i read somewhere that he picked up a knock not long after the start of the season so I had assumed the same thing... until recently and now after speaking with other people it seems he has been available, just not used.

Hopefully he has adapted/developing well and this is his chance 🤞🏻

100%... some of his worldies have came from outside the box so that's sort of my point, I am not slating Shanks, I realise how lucky we have been to have him but... we still have him for the rest of this season so I want to find a way of getting the best out of him for the remainder of that time.

Keep starting him in as a 9 yeah... or do u think moving him deeper, where he is going naturally just now anyway, to be creative and get on the ball more.. would benefit him?

That's a good point.. the coaches work with players on a daily basis and let's be honest they know what they r doing better than most of us armchair critics.

I feel like he hasn't been given a chance coz of the form Shanks was on tho and coz we all know what he can give us, he now can't be dropped

Start them with Shanks along side tho mate or drop Shanks?

I think he needs a rest or to have some pressure taken off his shoulders just now and allow him to focus on football and only football so i'd be open to him being benched or maybe even all 3 starting with Shanks playing a deeper role

Agree he should have been dropped sooner but i feel like the issue is bigger than that tbh, being as reliant on him and his goals is the real problem... not him or his dip in goals.

Started this season playing him deeper but we didn't have anyone to replace him... that's why his dip hits us as hard

Stick at it, maybe one day you could be invited to perform it at a players award ceremony or something like that... its a unique take on a our clubs song.
