I mean of course he wants to stay. Not many openings have the potential this team does. Could argue Baltimore, Atlanta to an extent. The rest are all in rebuild mode.

I want to agree. Hafley I believe depends on the openings after interviewing. Some may fill up quickly and he's left with total trash. But he's 100% a future HC in this league
January 12, 2026 at 8:12 PM
This has all the feelings that after next season, if it has similar results, that Guty will be able to make coaching decisions if Lafleur refuses to
January 12, 2026 at 2:59 PM
Sadly you're correct. Halfway through the 3rd quarter it was "here we go again"
January 12, 2026 at 1:52 PM
The organizational structure can be completely changed. Policy "could" keep Lafleur as HC but then give Guty the ability to decide the coaching staff and if wants a different play caller on offense. I see the argument to keep him and let him go. Still have yet to hear or see a significant upgrade
January 12, 2026 at 1:50 PM
This is the move that would be huge. Ideally Hafley becomes HC but that dynamic would implode all over
January 12, 2026 at 1:31 PM
Side by side of him and McCarthy and you see very little difference
January 11, 2026 at 11:32 PM
Absolutely agreed. First half he called ultra aggressive calls. Second half failed to adjust to the pressure by the defense and played scared. The 3 missed kicks are huge. And definitely had a bit of impact on him coaching seemingly nervous. But that team needs a coach who will go for the W

Stay in house with Hafley. Get a solid OC like McDaniel who runs a similar offense but better run scheme. Lafleur is a good leader and players love him. However is plays on offense are stale and unimaginative at this point. And he's too loyal to coaches who are not carrying their share
January 11, 2026 at 11:18 PM
But totally fell off the past 8 games. Not even worth a restructure of the contract. Cheaper younger talent on the roster
January 11, 2026 at 6:53 AM
I'd only extend if multiple other staff moves are made
January 11, 2026 at 5:28 AM
Doesn't help when Gary WENT MIA right after that
January 11, 2026 at 5:27 AM
Lafleur has become too predictable and cautious
January 11, 2026 at 5:16 AM
Of course it does. You can't choke that away. 25 points in the 4th is inexcusable
January 11, 2026 at 5:15 AM
Stefanski would be nice. Makes way more out of way less around him
January 11, 2026 at 5:12 AM
Took it so personally he proved most people right
January 11, 2026 at 5:10 AM
His playing has become stale and unimaginative. And not utilizing Golden more before this game? He should have some explaining to so on that
January 11, 2026 at 5:08 AM
I'm not saying a better coach is there. But stripping him of offensive playcalling should he high next season with a new OC
January 11, 2026 at 5:04 AM
With coaching changes that must happen.
January 11, 2026 at 5:03 AM
Yup multiple moves need to be made this offseason. Truly choked
January 11, 2026 at 4:49 AM
Yup. Multiple missed kicks. Packers special teams will forever cost them
January 11, 2026 at 4:47 AM
And that rich bisaccia is a coach where very clearly the game passed him by
January 11, 2026 at 4:43 AM
Well good thing Hafley is really good with DBs hopefully they can work out some plays Diggs will be comfortable with
January 1, 2026 at 4:32 PM
Relatively low risk potential moderate reward. What are the odds he plays Sunday to get up to speed on some plays?
December 31, 2025 at 10:09 PM
Predictable gutless plays. Let your QB actually play the position.
