Agreed
That getting rid of actual software engineers and relying on generated code will be looked upon as the gutting of an industry. Much the same way that journalism and working in media has been mostly destroyed.

Please elaborate.
AI coding is the “pivot-to-video” of our time. It will cause much permanent dislocation to careers and ultimately be unacknowledged as a failure of executive group-think.

@niedermeyer.online: So, SV is just like Detroit, burning tons of cashmoney on platforms that won't work out and the foreigners come in with something cheaper, more elegant, and better to use

It was a very good bad year
Michigan finishes at 8-5.
Bad by program standards. And yet:
-Beat USC (#11 at the time)
-Beat Minnesota for the Brown Jug.
-Beat MSU for Paul Bunyan.
-Beat NU for the Jewett trophy.
-Beat #2 OSU in historic upset.
-Beat #11 Bama in a bow.
Not sure any Michigan team got more bang for the buck.

It's very cool how the 2000s and 2010s were the absolute gutting of "big data" as a legitimate area of comprehensive analysis and the 2020s are when that non-science is being adopted by people who don't know enough to know it's bullshit.
