I was 15 in 1990 when I joined friends for a July 4th BBQ in NJ. Some local cops, friends of the family, showed up.
They had fireworks! (Fireworks are illegal in NJ.) I asked where they got them, how we could light them?
"We confiscated them from some of the n!ggers on the other side of town..."
