Was she ever as much of an insider as she claims? A quick search of FEC reports show her working for a couple small campaigns and a PAC, but I don’t see anything that would indicate that she was a real “player” in the party

I’ve often said we need a constitutional amendment that requires a chamber of Congress to have an up or down vote on any legislation that passes the other chamber within a certain period of time

They are, but that doesn’t mean the public is listening. If you want to blame someone blame the media for their coverage of all this (but even that doesn’t matter since people these days don’t watch media that challenges their established viewpoints)
