A client shared the following with me. Not sure what it comes from, but definitely captures one of the best parts of being an #editor 🤓

I just learned that, in modern learning environments, paper was actually used long BEFORE slates. Slates were introduced because humans were using too much paper and it got too expensive.

Isn't it interesting, what historians can teach us, even when a *thing* might seem obvious?

Want to NOT read the news for a minute? How about be an Advanced Reader for my silly little (but delightful!) publishing project. I mean don't you want to immerse yourselves in sentences like these? #booktok #literary #fiction #weirdfiction

Lol. What an ad. “Never worry about version control—but never have any control over the version, either!”

I know not everyone using it is an editor, but *as* an editor this highlights just one of the many reasons I loathe using GoogleDocs.

As the biggest album of the year drops, fondly remembering the Old Days™ when Tuesday was release day, and the record store I worked at stayed open all Mon night until 1am Tue, so hardcore fans could get their releases.

What a time, what a time.

ps: #RecordStoreDay tomorrow!

#amediting and got a good reminder that nothing is linear. Politics, history are not linear. Rights are not linear.

Women didn't "get the vote" in Canada. They had it, then the gov't stripped them of it. Then they fought to get *it back.*

Watch. Yer. Backs. Watch your neighbours' backs.
